The Blytheville Youth Sportsplex located at the Thunder Bayou Recreation Area, is a multi-purpose recreational facility.  It consists of 8 baseball/softball fields, 4 soccer fields, a 7 acre fishing lake and a walking trail that winds around the entire 50 acre Sportsplex.  The ball fields are comprised of 3 official Little League size baseball fields, 2 softball fields, and 3 full sized baseball fields for High School, American Legion, or older youth.  All fields have irrigation and underground drainage and meet or exceed tournament requirements from all sanctioned organizations from the National Little League to the Arkansas Activities Association. After three years of use, the complex has quickly developed the reputation for having some of the best playing fields in the state of Arkansas and the Midsouth.  The remainder of the Thunder Bayou Recreation Area includes Thunder Bayou Golf Links (18 holes), The Oaks at Thunder Bayou (9 holes) public golf courses, and Razorback Lake, a second fishing lake.



The Sportsplex is serviced by a large multi-purpose building housing a large concession area with 4 serving stations that can easily accommodate large crowds, a meeting and conference room, more than adequate restrooms, and a dressing room for umpires and officials.

There is spacious parking with 310 spaces on the South side of the facility, 136 spaces on the North lot, and the East lot can accommodate 20 buses or RVs.

The Blytheville Youth Sportsplex meets all ADA requirements.  The facility provides a safe and user-friendly environment.  The Sportsplex has quickly become host to several large tournament over the past three years attracting scores of athletes from six states.  The Blytheville Youth Sportsplex is located just 5-12 minutes from all major motels and restaurants.
